(Vuelve a la vida)
In this autobiographical tale, teenager Ricardo returns home to Caracas after a year abroad in New York. He chooses to skip a surprise family vacation to travel along the Venezuelan coast with friends – but midway through the trip, he begins to experience an intense pain that leads to hospitalization and a diagnosis that will change his and his family’s lives forever. “Back to Life” is a heartwarming story about the power of family and keeping hope against all odds that pays loving homage to the cinema of the late 1990s, the era during which this film takes place.

In 1986, the HuecK brothers created their first home TV channel with their father’s Betamax camera. The passion for cinema grew and they filmed their first professional short film in 16mm [YBI-173], wiping out all the awards in Venezuela and winner for Best Latin American Short Film in the TVE 2005 Spanish Version Contest.
They never abandoned the dream of living from the cinema and made history in 2013 with their romantic comedy directed by Luis Carlos, PAPITA MANÍ TOSTÓN by becoming the highest-grossing film in the history of Venezuelan cinema with 2 million viewers.
In 2015, Alfredo premiered his feature film PACKAGE #3, critically acclaimed political satire. In 2017, Luis Carlos premieres the sequel; PAPITA 2nd Base, another resounding box office success.
The same year, Alfredo became part of the team of creative producers of NBC Telemundo promotions until in 2019, Sony Pictures hired him to direct the MANUAL PARA GALANES series. In 2020, they finish their feature film inspired by real-life events, written and directed by both brothers, BACKTOLIFE. Currently, the brothers are dedicated to writing and presenting original content for movies and series.
